We are excited that you have been nominated to represent your school at MYLead this year! 

You were selected because someone saw something special in you. Something that sets you apart and makes them think you have incredible things ahead on your leadership journey.  

As a community, we have a great need for positive and forward-thinking leaders. As individuals, we have the opportunity to take a leadership role in just about any aspect of life. The mission of MYLead is to help young leaders, like you, realize their potential, and build the confidence to transform that potential into positive action. 

MYLead has two conferences planned this year.  Therefore, you will have two date options to pick from when registering.  If you choose to join us, we are confident that through our creative MYLead magic you will have a great time and meet some incredible people!

Registration Process

Registration is a simple 2-step process.  

  1. Complete the registration form, by logging in here.
    • Registration will open in March for the MYLead conference
    • We recommend completing your form as soon as possible.  We expect over 400 participants this year, and space is LIMITED for each event.  If you want a specific date, you need to lock it in by completing your form! 
    • The form will take approximately 30-40 minutes to complete.
  2. Print and complete the Consent Form.
    • The original form must be fully completed and mailed to MYLead no later than the date indicated at the bottom of the form.  
    • Your parent/guardian will need to sign the Consent Form in the presence of a notary so the original form can be notarized.

I discovered that it’s okay to talk to people and come out of my shell a little bit. Being uncomfortable is actually okay sometimes. Life is full of amazing people just waiting for someone to put forth the effort of meeting them.

How do I get my username and password to login?

Starting in March, MYLead will be sending welcome emails to nominees.  If you know you were nominated and haven’t received an email by March 31, email If you reach out via email, please include your full name and the name of your school.

When and where will the in-person conference be held?

All conferences will be held on campus at Michigan State University. Students and volunteers will be housed in the dorms for the weekend.  Conference alternatives are:

  • Conference 1: May 17-19, 2024
  • Conference 2: June 7-9, 2024
Where can my parent/guardian get their signature notarized on the consent form? 

There are a bunch of places that typically offer notary services.  We encourage you to call ahead to make sure a notary is available and on staff.  

Places you may want to consider: AAA, Banks, Credit Unions, Court Houses, City/County Clerk Office, Public Libraries, Real Estate Offices, Insurance Offices, Schools, and the UPS store. 

Why should I accept the nomination and attend MYLead? 

By accepting this nomination, you have the opportunity to learn things about yourself you never thought possible.  Plus, you get to add this leadership conference to your resume, meet motivated leaders from hundreds of high schools throughout Michigan, form life-long friendships, and be part of a team that will champion you for years to come!

What sets MYLead apart from other leadership conferences? 

The passion, excitement, and drive that come from this group of people is unbelievable! Our organization was founded by stupendous leaders in 2002 and has impacted the lives of thousands of young leaders ever since. This organization is led 100% by volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people like you! We love to invest in current and future leaders.

Do I really have to register now?  It seems early…

Yes!  Space is LIMITED at each event.  We are expecting more than 400 students to register for MYLead this year.  If you want to lock in your reservation for a specific date, you must register now.  

Once specific dates are full, folks will be put on a waiting list.

If your plans change later in the year, you can always email to switch to a different date, space permitting.  

What should I take into consideration when selecting which event to attend?

Programming will be similar for all of the events. The conference will be high energy and very engaging.

One of the reasons MYLead offers multiple weekends is so that students can select the weekend that works best for their schedule after taking into consideration college prep tests, sports schedules, graduation, end of year performances, etc.  

What if transportation to or from MSU for the conference is an issue?

We can help! Please indicate you need help arranging travel on your registration form. Students will be attending from all over the state, so we are often able to help you identify a convenient carpool option.

Once I register, what can I expect? 

Leading up to the events, you can expect a series of emails from the recruitment directors. If you have questions, or if your parent/guardian would like to talk with a member of our staff before you attend, you are welcome to reply to any of those emails or give us a call at 888-269-4075.  We very much look forward to meeting you!

What if I am unable to attend any of the dates available?

If circumstances arise that prevent you from attending, we would like to give another student the opportunity to attend. Please contact us at or let the person know that nominated you from your school.
